Connect with Anthony Noto, P.E., at our New York or Philadelphia workshop!

Anthony is a Strengthening Solutions engineer with Simpson Strong-Tie, responsible for the fiber reinforced polymer (FRP), fabric reinforced cementitious matrix (FRCM), pressurized concrete enlargement, and post-tension modification/repair solutions. Anthony is licensed in Florida with a background in consulting engineering, specializing in commercial, retrofit, and amenity structures. He has designed structures up to $74 million in construction costs. Anthony obtained his Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering in structural engineering at the University of Florida. He is currently the Youth Member on the South Florida Chapter of FSEA.
Meet Tran Duong, M.S., P.E., S.E., at one of our Dallas or Houston workshops!

Tran is a Strengthening Solutions engineer with Simpson Strong-Tie, covering the central region of the US, a licensed P.E. and S.E. in Texas and Oklahoma. Tran holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Science degree in civil engineering, with a focus on structural engineering, from the University of Houston. Before joining Simpson Strong-Tie, she spent 5.5 years gaining experience in structural analysis and design at a consulting firm in Texas.

Bret Turley is an engineer with over 38 years of professional experience in structural design and construction. In his current role, he provides engineering support for Simpson Strong-Tie Composite Strengthening Systems (CSS) products lines to design professionals and contractors in W. PA, OH, IN, KY, MI, WI, MN, IL, IA, ND, and SD. He is a member of the American Concrete Institute and is past Chair of ACI Committee 355 – Anchorage to Concrete. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in California (Civil), Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (pre-Architecture) and Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering (Structures) from the University of Oklahoma.

Jose was born in Tijuana, Mexico and raised in San Ysidro, California. He obtained his bachelor’s in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego and his master’s in Civil engineering from Idaho State University. Jose is a Strengthening Solutions Field Engineer for Simpson Strong-Tie based out of San Diego servicing the Southwestern USA.

Alex is a registered professional engineer in California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Alaska, Washington, Oregon and Wyoming. He graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in Architectural Engineering. Before joining Simpson Strong-Tie in 2019, Alex was a consulting engineer working on podium structures, custom housing, bridges, historic retrofits, schools, and advanced foundation systems. He is now a Senior Strengthening Solutions Engineer and educates the industry on composite systems throughout the Pacific and Western regions. Alex also works directly with specifiers, installers, contractors, and plan reviewers, assisting them with the technical aspects of designing and building Composite Strengthening Systems.

Doug graduated from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology with a diploma in Building Construction Engineering Technology in 1984 and became a member of The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists in 1987. Before joining Simpson Strong-Tie Canada in 2013, Doug was in management and technical construction product sales for over 30 years with manufacturers of concrete repair, protection and strengthening systems working on buildings and infrastructure projects throughout Canada. He is now the Strengthening Solutions Specialist for Simpson Strong-Tie Canada and educates the construction industry on composite strengthening systems throughout Eastern Canada.
Meet Sarah Outzen, P.E., Senior Strengthening Solutions Engineer at Simpson Strong-Tie

Sarah is a Senior Strengthening Solutions Engineer supporting composite products for Simpson Strong-Tie since 2020. She is a licensed Professional Engineer with an MSCE focused on structural and seismic engineering. Sarah received her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her master’s from San Francisco State University, where she researched recycled polystyrene aggregate in concrete. Before joining Simpson Strong-Tie, she worked for about a decade in structural engineering consulting, both in new construction and retrofit of existing structures. In her role at Simpson Strong-Tie, Sarah supports the design and installation of strengthening products, providing efficient solutions for the structural reinforcement and retrofit of aging, damaged, or overloaded concrete and masonry structures.
