The Simpson Strong-Tie structural steel team held an event earlier this year at Topgolf in Vineyard, Utah, to host 65 engineers. The view from the green range at this new Topgolf location was breathtaking with snowy peaks, and the view inside was not bad either, since you could see our Yield-Link® moment connection.

The cause of this celebration was the fact that this building used more than 80 Yield-Link moment connections in the construction of this structure. The event also included display samples of our new  Yield-Link brace connection and  Edge-Tie™ system for façade connection system.

Engineers from over 20 firms came out to see firsthand how the Yield Link moment connection was incorporated into a structure and to ask questions our engineering and product development teams about our structural steel solutions. Our structural steel products and technology help everyone — from fabricators and erectors to building owners, engineers and contractors — maximizing efficiency and resiliency at every stage of the building process. The feedback we got from the engineers was tremendous — a lot of them were surprised at how well the Yield-Link moment connection blends into the exposed structures. It provides both strength and beauty. Although the Yield-Link comes orange, Top Golf chose to paint it grey to better blend in with the structure, illustrated by Simpson Strong-Tie Tim Ellis above.
